If you're a dedicated ambient listener you've probably heard about the Buddha Machine already. If not, I'll give a short explanation. The Buddha Machine is a small music player/gadget released by the group FM3. It contains 9 "built in" ambient loops ranging from a couple of seconds each to about 40 seconds.

The Buddha Machine is driven by batteries, although there's the possibility to connect a power adapter as well. It has a built in lo-fi speaker and a volume control. The speaker gives a lot of static noise and if you turn up the volume loud there will be heavy distortion as well. You can call it funny, silly, genious or crazy, but I received mine the other day and I love it already. :) More info on www.fm3buddhamachine.com/
